The second session of the Training Program "Development Projects from the NFRD funds and EU Funds", which is within the project "Capacity Development for Regional Development and Cross-Border Cooperation in the Republic", began Tuesday, May 24, in Balti.

The training program is organized by the Northern Regional Development Agency (RDA North) with financial support of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ). It is conducted by experts from the Regional Centre for Assistance and Information for NGOs CONTACT-Balti.

At the event, ADR North Director, Ion Bodrug, stressed the importance of holding this training program in the Northern Region. "Through such programs, we aim to contribute to enhancing knowledge and skills of participants in the structure of projects financed by the National Fund for Regional Development (NFRD) and the border / trans-funded European Union (EU)," said Director of RDA North.

The event involved representatives of the Local Government I and II in the north of Moldova, as well as employees of ADR North. It was guided by experts from CONTACT-Balti. Participants were divided into teams; project ideas were identified and discussed and specific aspects of the projects identified.

Improvement of the quality of regional and cross-border cooperation is the goal of the organizers for the training program. During the training main financing instruments available to EU funds NFRD border Programmes (CBC) and transnational (TNC)  will be discussed. Also imforming participants on implementing their own procedures by increasing capacity in regional and European development projects.

Please note that there are seven sessions planned for the training program. The first session of the Programme took place from April 19th to 21st in Balti, Soroca and Edinet. The second session of the training program, which began today, in Balti, will continue with a similar program in Edinet (May 25th) and in Soroca (May 26th).
