Representatives from business and civil society in Balti had, Tuesday, September 6th, met for an hour with first deputy of the Moldovan Parliament, Vlad Plahotniuc. The meeting took place at the Business Center in the second half of the day.

During discussion, Northern Regional Development Agency Director, Ion Bodrug, referred to the procedural difficulties in the context of public-private partnerships.

"Cooperation between entrepreneurs and local government involves, besides all, the procedural difficulties regarding public-private partnership", said the Northern RDA, Ion Bodrug. These difficulties, according to the RDA North Director, are determined by the provisions legislation. "It takes too long to complete a public-private partnership contract. In this sense, to improve the situation, we come up with a request to the relevant authorities to operate certain amendments to the Law on public-private", said the North RDA.

At the meeting were discussed a number of local issues. Businessmen and leaders of NGOs, opinion leaders, journalists and other representatives of local community activists participated in discussions.
