A training program for local government levels I and II in Northern Molodova was held yesterday, May 24th in Balti. Today, May 25th, a similar training program is being held in Edinet. This is a training program called: "Development projects from NFRD and the EU funds", held within the project: "Capacity Development for Regional Development and Cross-Border Cooperation in Moldova."
The training program is organized by the Northern Regional Development Agency (RDA North) with financial support of the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and conducted by experts from the Regional Centre for Assistance and Information for NGOs CONTACT-Balti. Improving the quality of regional and cross-border cooperation is the main goal of the organizers of the training program. Within the training a general idea of ”‹”‹the main tools available funding will be discussed. This funding will come from the National Fund for Regional Development (NFRD) and the European Union (EU). Cross border programs (CBC), the transnational (TNC) and procedures for the application by increasing capacity in regional and European development projects will also be discussed.
In his welcoming speech, Director of ADR North, Ion Bodrug, stressed the importance of holding the Northern Region training programs. Ion Bodrug said that through such programs, ADR North and its partners want to help increase knowledge and skills of participants in the structure of the projects funded by the NFRD cross border / transnational EU.
CONTACT-Balti which was guided by experts and participants which were familiar with the structure and cross-border projects financed by NFRD / transnational EU funds. Also, participants divided into teams; project ideas were identified and they discussed specific aspects of the projects that were identified.
The first of the seven sessions of the Programme took place between April 19th to 21st in Balti, Soroca and Edinet. The second session of the training program, which began yesterday in Balti, continues today with a similar program in Edinet, after which one will be held in Soroca, on May 26th.
