Study visit to Romania and Germany (Brandenburg) in the project "Modernization of local public services in Moldova", supported by GIZ

From August 29th to September 8th 2011, a specialist in the Northen Regional Development Agency, Inga Cojocaru, participated in a study visit on the regionalization of water and sewerage services in Romania and Germany. The visit was organized for representatives of the working group involved in the updating strategies of socio-economic development (water supply and sanitation department) of two districts: Cahul and Rîșcani, the modernization of local public services project implemented by GIZ (Agency for Cooperation International Germany). The delegation also included representatives of central, local and operators of water and sewer districts of Cahul and Rîșcani, structures that could contribute to institutional reform and the process of regionalization in the public water and sewerage services in Moldova. The purpose of the visit was to learn the experience of two countries in the regionalization of water and sewerage services and acquisition practices.
