Projects to be implemented in Northern Region in 2013

The North Region will implement seven projects totaling 66 800.00 MDL from the National Fund for Regional Development (NFRD). The National Council for Coordination of Regional Development (NCCRD) approved the money by a decision of 18/12 on the 20^th of December. Of the 7 projects, 4 will be launched in 2013 and the other three, which were launched last year, will be extended for implementation. Most of the financial resources will be allocated to physical infrastructure rehabilitation projects, as that is the first priority of the North Regional Development Strategy.

Projects to be launched in 2013

1. "Supporting private sector development and increasing investment in the North Region by building water supply and sewerage sub no. 3 in the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) Balti"

- Applicant: municipality of Balti

- Project implementation period: 18 months

- Budget: 8 500.00 MDL, allocated for 2013

2. "Improve the Royal Forest eco-tourism route"

- Applicant: District Council of Glodeni

- Project implementation period: 24 months

- Budget: 5 000,00 MDL, allocated for 2013

3. "Data collection and transport of waste in the micro-region inter-Rascani (villages: Singureni, Corlateni, Grinauti, Recea, Racaria, Aluniș) - Drochia (Pelinia)"

- Applicant: City Singureni, Riscani

- Project implementation period: 20 months

- Budget: 7 000,00 MDL, allocated for 2013

4. "Rehabilitation of historic and architectural monument" Pommer Mansion "and improving the access road to the village arboretum Taul, Dondușeni"

- Applicant: City of Taul, Dondușeni

- Project implementation period: 24 months

- Budget: 5 000,00 MDL, allocated for 2013

5. "Repair section of local road L-37" Lipcani-Balasinesti-Corjeuti-Târnova”

- Applicant: City of Corjeuti, Briceni

- Project implementation period: 18 months

- Budget: 17 500.00 MDL, allocated for 2013

6. "Improve water quality and sewerage services in the city Otaci for a clean environment in the Northern Region"

- Applicant: City of Otaci

- Project implementation period: 24 months

- Budget: 13 119.30 MDL, allocated for 2013

7. "Finishing construction of the Balti-Sângerei aqueduct with community ramifications"

- Applicant: District Council of Singerei

- Project implementation period: 24 months

- Budget: 10 680.70 MDL, allocated for 2013
